I designed the lunar calendar because I was bored
with having the same Moon calendar on my wall year
after year and I wanted to show the circularity of
the solar and lunar cycles as well as to make it more
astrological. I have been interested in astrology
for about 20 years and I run the astrology area at
Glastonbury Festival every year with The Wheel of
Astrologers. I am not a fully qualified astrologer
but spend a lot of time working with astrologers
and the language of astrology has seeped into my
psyche as a result.
I finished an MA in Digital Media in 2004 and it was
during the time I was supposed to be writing my final
dissertation that the Moon calendar was completed.
Creating a lunar phase calendar was a fine distraction
to put off starting my dissertation!
Since then, I have completed all the other designs
featured on this website. The flip calendar was expanded
in 2008 and has proven to be very popular each year
and last year, we launched our new Astro Diary for
2010 which was so popular it completely sold out. I
am now in the process of designing 12 Zodiac cards.
I have been overwhelmed with how popular my diaries
and calendars have been and have had interest and praise
for their design from all over the world from Brazil
to Japan to Australia. It has been an extremely satisfying
experience for me to have had such a good response
for products that I have designed myself. I have also
been lucky enough to have enlisted the support and
endorsement of Jonathan Cainer which has helped immensely.
Our Aim
Is to give people the opportunity to experience the
many different learnings and insights that astrology
has to offer.
Sun sign astrology featured in the popular media focuses
on the Sun alone whereas general astrology is the study
of the Sun, the Moon and the planets, their positioning
in the Zodiac and their angular relationships to each
other.
