The evenings are very mild for this time of year. The squirrels are gathering acorns and burying them for the winter.  As everything in autumn breaks down and the earth growth period retreats, its also time for us to start slowing down and come back into our self.  The days prior to the new Moon are a good time to clear away any unwanted stuff around the home.  It’s a time of going within and being quiet and still.  These are very interesting times we are living in.

The chart of the last Full Moon – 7th Oct had a Sun, Moon, Venus, Mars and second, eight emphasis and its here again in the new Moon chart and will also be in the next full Moon chart of the 5th of November.  This new moon is the first since the Autumn equinox and as the Sun and Moon come together conjunct Venus and mars in the second house forming a very tight conjunction, its hard to know which is the strongest planet.  Venus is in its own sign, rules the Libran ascendant, the new Moon and the stellium of Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars.  The second house is the natural house of Venus due to the Taurean rulership.  So Venus is very strong.

The second house is all about our own self worth and values and how we please ourselves although with the Libran emphasis we are constantly being asked to take the other person into account. This chart reflects issues around money and finding the balance.  The stellium of Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars is square Chiron in the fourth.  The fourth house reflects our home, where we go to feel comfortable.  With Mars being exactly conjunct to  Sun, Moon and Venus, are there lots of people out there who feel uncomfortable in their homes, under pressure with looming threats of interest rates.  More and more I hear of people having to deal with really uptight humans.

Most of the planets are below the horizon except Saturn.  Saturn in the 11th mirrors the collective responsibility of taking on commitment, becoming aware of limitations and restrictions reflecting an impact on the ability to enjoy ourselves.  Many people are looking forward to Christmas and wondering whether they can afford it, not wanting to go into any more debt.  The strong Venus influence reminds us it’s a very beautiful time of year and the beauties and pleasures of the senses of the eyes nose and ears come for free.

Happy new Moon, Linda Day and Suze da Blooz
