New Moon
17th April 12.37pm BST
Sun 27˚ 05' Aries
Moon 27˚ 05' Aries

This weather's truly amazing and how lovely is it to feel the sun,
although the reality is, as l walk upon the land l notice how dry it
is and wonder what has happened to the April showers. The earth needs
rain and so do we. The blue bells are out and the swallows have returned
and although it is really lovely to see them it is very early.
Venus has been has been adorning our evening skies, shining really
bright and looking very beautiful. If you look to the west after sunset
you will see her there.
On another note we have just passed the 2nd hit of the Saturn/Neptune
opposition and how is everyone feeling? Most people l talk to seem
to have lots going on in their lives. What are these two planets really
asking of us? Oppositions ask us to have an awareness of the other,
although most of the time it can feel like piggy in the middle and
we have two front door's with the bells ringing at the same time -
which one do we answer first? Being pulled in two directions at once.
So Saturn in Leo feels an aloneness of spirit and Neptune in Aquarius
wants to merge with the group. It would be good to have a clear picture
of oneself before merging with any group otherwise one could end up
losing oneself.
The time of the new moon approaches and the Sun and Moon are together
in the sign of Aries in the 10th house trining Jupiter/Pluto in the
5th in Sagittarius. We have Leo rising at 10 degrees, Venus in Gemini
in the 11th applying to a square with Mars in Pisces in the 8th.The
Saturn/Neptune opposition is from the 1st to the 7th and Jupiter is
trining Saturn and sextiling Neptune. Mercury is in Aries in the 9th
applying to a trine with Saturn. There are a lot of trines in this
chart, which makes a change although l was taught that trines are an
easy flowing aspect it is easy for things to happen due to nothing
standing in their way. Saturn has retrograded back to 18 degrees of
Leo and turns direct on the 19th of April, so it feels like going back
over old ground. Giving us the chance to see what we have learnt, how
clear are we of our own capabilities, do we truly value ourselves and
have we met the place within ourselves that doesn’t mind being alone?
The new Moon is a time of new beginnings and this is also reflected
by Sun and Moon in Aries. Aries represents the new shoot, it is the
pioneer of the zodiac, and it likes a challenge and can get bored very
easily. Aries is headstrong and will go charging head first into things
without stopping and thinking of the consequences. Aries has to be
on a quest, so with the Sun and Moon being conjunct in the 10th trine
Jupiter/Pluto in the 5th does this mean the leaders of the country
could go charging into something that people don’t want. I don’t know
why, but l feel the applying Venus/Mars square is important. It is
two personal planets at odds with each other. Mars is the Sun/Moon
ruler and is in Pisces - not the clearest of signs. Venus has
been known to start a war or two. Venus in Gemini likes to communicate
and square Mars in Pisces things in relationships could get out of
hand either because someone’s not listening or someone’s not taking
another’s feelings into account. The planets are in fire, air and water
signs and there is a lot of cardinal and mutable energies so thing
could blow up out of all proportion and change very quickly. It is
only Saturn and Neptune that are in fixed sign's. So remember to breath,
connect with the earth, take time out to be with your self and have
compassion for other people. I leave you with a quote, in fact two
taken from the invitation by Oriah Mountain Dreamer
(1) It
doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you
ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your hearts longing.
It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will
risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for your adventure
of being alive.
(2) I
want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like
the company you keep in the empty moments.
BLESSING
TO YOU ALL.HAPPY NEW MOON.
