Full Moon Sun 12˚ 49' Capricorn The bare trees look beautiful against the backdrop of a clear blue sky. Apparently, this is what the inside of our lungs look like, which I find amazing as the trees are the lungs of the earth taking in carbon monoxide and giving out oxygen. I am very blessed to be surrounded by some very old trees. As ever, there is a lot happening in the heavens. The chart has a Gemini ascendant; Mercury the chart ruler is conjunct Sun in Capricorn in the eighth opposite the Moon in the second. Sun and Saturn are in mutual reception. The Moon and Jupiter are in their own signs, Mercury is sesi quadrate Saturn, Mars is applying to conjunct Pluto. Jupiter square Uranus applying, Venus is unaspected except for a semi sextile to Pluto and Chiron is conjunct the midheaven. The first lunation of 2007 is the Cancer full Moon in the second, asking us how do we nurture and feed ourselves, what gives us pleasure? How are our relationships with our family? Do we have a plan or tribe we belong to? Moon trine Uranus, there could be unexpected revelations about close relationships and the values they hold. We are being asked to take communication seriously, words can be so cheap and it’s the deeds that count. Gemini ascendant likes to collect information and distribute it. Although mercury is conjunct Sun in Capricorn in the eighth, Mercury is also sesiquadrate Saturn, so it might be good to write things down, take our time and ponder on our words before we speak. The old saying ‘sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me’ doesn’t feel right for this chart as the power of the word is very important. The chart also contains lots of issues from the past especially around the family. People could be feeling strapped for cash, having overspent at Christmas, giving a sense of restriction, unexpressed expectations and disappointment. Saturn in the fourth, Sun Mercury conjunction in Capricorn opposite Moon in Cancer and Saturn opposite Neptune applying. Venus in Capricorn suggests a sense of duty; Venus rules the sixth house cusp which contains Jupiter. How do we get meaning out of service, how do we give service, not just to others, but to ourselves as well? The sixth house is about making a ritual out of a routine. There could be a question of what do we want to do with our careers. Chiron conjunct the midheaven on a collective level - how do we want to express ourselves to the outside world? As we start 2007, we could write down how we want to feed our spirituality, what are our goals and what inspires us? Every now and again refer back to them to remind one of what we wanted to give to ourselves. The applying Mars Pluto conjunction on the 13th Jan reflects any hidden issues in relationships which may come to the surface in a volatile way. Remember, we are being asked to redirect our energies in how we relate to others. “ When you meet your friend on the roadside or
in the market place, let the spirit in you move your lips and direct
your tongue. Let
the voice within your voice speak to the ear of his ear” May the Earth Sun Moon and planets support you on your journey during
2007.
