New and full Moon June 2007
Due to holidays and festivals over the next couple of months the Moon
forecast will cover both the new and full Moons and will be shorter.
I would like to thank all you ardent Moon gazers, the feedback is much
appreciated.
The night after the full Moon there was a spectacular Moonrise. The
Moon was conjunct Jupiter, close by was Antares the heart of the scorpion,
Saturn in Leo was about 120 degrees away to the west and Venus so bright
and so beautiful was just above the horizon. What a treat!
The summer solstice is nearly half
way between the next two lunations. The Sun is at its highest point
in the sky and transits the same area of sky for four days. The word
solstice means to stand still. It’s
a time to take stock, reflect on where we have come from and where
are we going. The energy is a lot more out-going at this time of year
and there is summer madness in the air.
The new Moon chart has Gemini rising with the Sun and Moon conjunct
in Gemini in the 1st opposite Pluto in Sagittarius in the 7th. The
Sun and Moon are also sextile to Mars in Aries in the 12th and Saturn
in Leo in the 4th and trine Neptune in Aquarius in the 10th. Mercury,
the chart ruler, is in Cancer in the 2nd and doesn’t have any aspects
to the personal planets, it’s first aspect is a quincunx to Jupiter
in Sagittarius which is setting. Venus is in Leo in the 4th and is
conjunct the IC which is the lowest point of the chart. There is also
a grand trine between Mars, Saturn and Pluto.
Gemini likes to collect in information and distribute it out. Mercury
in Cancer is very sensitive to the thoughts and needs of others, losing
the ability to detach oneself. Mercury goes and there will be the feeling
of going over old ground especially on an emotional level and where
issues of the family or past are concerned. Mercury is the bridge between
the Sun and Moon and often sees both points of view. The aspect between
the Sun and Moon and Pluto intensifies things especially in the arena
of relationships and communication; don’t forget there are two sides
to a coin.
On the 25th of June we have the last Saturn/Neptune opposition. Which
has left me with the feeling of not knowing whether l am coming or
going. One minute feeling like my nose is against the wall and the
next feeling very spaced out, I keep putting myself out of my comfort
zone, which is actually a gift because l am becoming more aware of
what l feel comfortable with. Which hopefully will make me become clearer
around boundary issues. The Saturn/Neptune is square my Sun/Venus conjunction
in Scorpio. I know lots of people who have been under pressure and
feeling very tired. So hopefully once these two giants separate things
will start to feel better.
The full Moon chart has a very different pattern to it. It has a Liberian
ascendant and Venus the chart ruler is in Leo in the 10th conjunct
Saturn. Venus is still applying to an exact opposition to Neptune in
Aquarius. The Sun is conjunct Mercury in Cancer in the 9th opposite
the Moon in Capricorn. There is a lot of push me pull me energy to
this chart asking us for awareness. Money could be an issue especially
the lack of it which could create problems within relationships or
maybe we might hear of a lot of people being made redundant. This could
have a knock on affect to the property market. Mars has moved into
Taurus, which could give the feeling of things slowing down. Taurus
likes to take its time and has the capacity to move mountains grain
by grain. I could go on and on and - this is me keeping it short! I
don’t think so.
Anyway l leave you with a quote:
“When earliest man first looked upward towards the heavens, he measured
his life by the transits of the Sun and Moon.” Cycles of becoming
Alexander Ruperti.
Blessings of the summer solstice to you all. Linda Day
