Full Moon Sun 13˚ 00' Pisces
The daffodils are in full bloom, the birds are really chirpy, there’s blossom on the trees and the fresh green shoots of the hawthorn are to be seen. The days are getting longer, the earth is alive and the promise of spring is around the corner. How’s everyone been coping with Mercury being retrograde? Yesterday, the news came out about contaminated petrol although the first report of it was on the 22nd Feb a few days after the last new Moon but we are only just hearing about it now!!!!!! Saturn was opposite Neptune for the second time. The luxury of hindsight - when it’s over we will say “oh, so that what it was all about”. I met with some other astrologers to honour Saturn/Neptune and we talked about repercussions, health issues, lost dreams, escapism, fantasy, responsibility and reality. All very Saturn/Neptune. The issue of the environment kept coming up. In Hereford were l work, the local council is planning on chopping down quite a few trees and l don’t get it. Do they not realize we need the trees to help us breath, especially with the present climate of what is happening to the earth? We need to protect the trees not get rid of them. The time of the full Moon approaches and this one is eclipsed, a very important time the ancients would say. At the time of a lunar eclipse the Earth, Sun and Moon are in a line and the Earth comes in between the Sun and Moon blocking out the Sunlight that is reflected off the Moon. Hopefully, if the sky is clear we will be able to see the earth cast its shadow over the full Moon - what an amazing sight to behold. We live in very interesting times and this chart is packed with lots of activity. We have Scorpio rising with Mars, its old ruler, in Aquarius unaspected. What does this mean? Is there nothing to stand in the way of Mars????? Or will Mars not get a look in, due to the fact that all the other planets are making contact with each other in someway. The Sun and Moon are opposite each other; the Sun is conjunct Uranus conjunct the north node, and the Moon is opposite Uranus conjunct the south node. To have an eclipse, the nodes always have to be involved. The south node reflects where we have come from, the comfy slippers we like to put on. The north node highlights were we are going. So, the Moon and the south node are in Virgo in the 10th house - are we all seeking perfection and stop ourselves from doing things because we think they are not going to be good enough? The Sun, Uranus and the north node are in Pisces in the fourth - maybe what we all need is a spiritual wake up. What are our beliefs, what keeps us going when the going gets tough? Virgo after all likes ritual and is very concerned with how we give service, not only to others but also to ourselves. Pisces thinks about everyone else and forgets about themselves. Both Virgo and Pisces are mutable, so everything can change in the blink of an eye. Mercury once again is quite hidden in this chart being at the lowest point and moving back in the direction of Neptune. Often when Mercury is retrograde, it feels like we are going over old ground. So, it is a good time to catch up on communication that we have been putting off although things will not feel clear until after the 28th March when Mercury once again returns to 10 degrees of Pisces where it turned retrograde on the 14th February. So which planet out of Saturn and Neptune are we feeling the most?
