get full moon chart

The silver birch has been looking truly amazing, their leaves are so delicate dancing in the wind. At last, the weather has changed and we are experiencing the conditions we should have at this time of year. I’d been thinking the evenings are too mild for this time of year. Then the temperature dropped and we woke up to frost with everything being crisp and clearly defined, making the earth look very beautiful. Followed by a snowstorm, which gave us four inches of snow and again blanketed the earth in a lovely white gown.

The skies have been amazingly clear. Mars, the red planet, has been adorning our night skies. Saturn rises later on and Venus is bright in the sky before dawn. As ever it’s always a treat to see the first slither of the new Moon and then to watch it getting fuller and higher in the sky every night thereafter.

The full Moon chart has Aries rising with Mars, its ruling planet, being retrograde in Cancer in the 4th house conjunct the IC, trine Uranus in Pisces in the 12th and also quincunx Chiron in Aquarius in the 11th. The Sun in Sagittarius in the 8th is opposite the Moon in Gemini in the 2nd, both are applying to a square with Saturn in Virgo in the 6th.

The north node is also in this configuration as the Sun and Moon are square it and Saturn is opposite it and conjunct the south node. Due to Aries being on the 1st all the sign’s are ruling their natural houses except for Taurus, Scorpio, Virgo and Pisces, which aren’t ruling any house cusps and are classed are intercepted sign’s.  Mercury in Scorpio in the 7th is applying to a square with Neptune in the 11th in Aquarius, Venus in Libra in the 6th is in an applying trine to Neptune, the Jupiter/Pluto conjunction in Sagittarius in the 9th is getting closer and Saturn and Uranus are in a applying opposition from the 6th to the 12th. Uranus goes direct on the 24th at 10.16 am.

The energy of this chart is very spread out, giving the feeling that a lot of people are being pulled in two directions at once. Aries rising doesn’t have a lot of patience and can have the tendency to rush head long into things. The mutable opposition of the Sun and Moon doesn’t like to be kept waiting either, although the square to Saturn is slowing their reactions down.

The Moon in Gemini in the 2nd is all about commerce and with Christmas looming the pressure is on for us to spend spend spend, putting even more financial pressure on everyone. As l write this, the news has just broken about the records of loads of people’s personal details of family benefits disappearing from the inland revenue, this is reflected by the applying square from Mercury to Neptune.  Also in the news, is the Northern rock bank, suggesting the possibility’s of more problems on the horizon. Last month saw the most non-repayments of mortgages for years.

The Gemini/Sagittarius full Moon axis asks us to look at our communications and transport issues. What incentive does it give people to use public transport when it’s so expensive and still so cheap to fly everywhere rather than catching a bus or a train. Is this not where we could change some of our ideas and philosophy and help our planet? Gordon Brown has said the environment is the biggest challenge we have to face.

The square from Saturn in Virgo in the 6th asks us how we give service not only to everyone else but also to our selves. There is something very similar to Virgo and Saturn. Virgo can be a very anxious sign and Saturn can be a very fearful planet both being very critical and discriminating, although hard working. Everything feels like its gathering pace, Saturn asks us to slow down, take our time and be resourceful. Virgo likes to make a ritual out of a routine and has the ability to deal with the smallest detail, so we could start helping our planet today by recycling, reusing and cutting back.

The up and coming conjunction of Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius in the 9th gives us the ability to change our philosophy and relook at our morals. This is the ending of one cycle and the beginning of a new one.

I leave you with a quote:

“ Virgo exemplifies the efficiency of earth and the delicate sophistication of the web of life when natures laws are respected and applied.”
Charles and Suzi Harvey Principles of Astrology.

Happy full Moon
