Moon at 17˚ 10 ' Scorpio
I’d like everyone to take some time
to honor our beautiful planet Earth we live on for how she supports
and feeds us. We are surrounded by beauty, the lovely colours which
get richer and richer everyday. Have you ever experienced a shower
of leaves? What a treat. There
are so many wonders to behold. I was taken by my friend Lyn a fellow
Astrologer to see the starlings coming home to roost for the evening,
to hear the flutter of their wings as they fly over head, the noise
they make and their sheer mass is something l will never forget.
For those of us who rise early, Venus
has adorned the morning sky, looking fantastic and very bright. Saturn
rises about two hours before Venus. Jupiter is to been seen
in the southwest just after sunset. Mars is nearly directly above
and not far away is the Pleiades and about midnight Sirius is in
the southeast twinkling in all its glory.
The time of the new Moon is upon us, how quickly it comes
around! The chart of the new Moon has Leo rising with the Sun and Moon
conjunct in Scorpio in the 4th square Neptune in Aquarius in the 6th.
Neptune is conjunct the descendant. The Sun and Moon are in a grand
water trine with Mars in Cancer in the 11th and Uranus in Pisces in
the 8th. Mercury is now direct in Libra in the 3rd separating from
a sextile to Pluto in Sagittarius in the 5th. Venus is in its own sign
of Libra and in the 2nd house, which it rules. Venus is just separating
from a square to Pluto. Mars is about to go retrograde on the 15th
of November at 12 degrees 27 of Cancer and will oppose Jupiter and
Pluto in its retrograde motion. Jupiter is applying to a conjunction
of Pluto, which happens on the 11th of December in Sagittarius at 28
degrees. Saturn is applying to an opposition with Uranus with the 1st
exact opposition happening in November 2008.
The heavens are alive with planetary
activity. There is a lot of importance on the Sun as it is the chart
ruler. Scorpio suggests that there’s a lot of secrecy in the air
and especially with the Sun and Moon being squared to Neptune. When
l am looking at a chart that has Neptune involved l often miss it
at first. Not forgetting that the Sun and Moon are also involved
in a grand water trine with Mars and Uranus, which also adds mystery
to the chart. I don’ think that the Sun, Mars or Uranus feel comfortable
in water. So collectively are we not aware of how or what we are
really feeling. Water
can be contained in many different forms and also it will always get
to where its going. Having a lot of water in the chart shows there
are lots of dependency issues, does this reflect the ever increasing
rise in oil prices and what a knock on effect that is having on the
price of petrol and diesel? Showing us just how dependant we are on
this resources of the Earth. On one level it gives us a chance to look
at environmental issues and how we may have to survive without oil.
Most of us would be surprised at just how many things have oil in them.
Scorpio does bring issues of survival and who’s got the power and Neptune
rules oil, oil wells and oil fields. So could we see another battle
over who’s got the control of the oil fields? I also think that this
combination has an element of magic about it. Scorpio is about transformation
and Neptune has a spiritual side to it and is this what is missing,
With Pluto approaching the last couple of degrees of Sagittarius l
ask what do we really believe in ???
I leave you with a few lines from a song.
‘It’s a good world, yeah it’s a good, good, good, good world, and it’s
a fine world, a fine, fine, fine, fine world. I think maybe if we sing
it over and over again like a mantra, it will manifest some how’.

Happy New Moon Linda Day.
