New Moon
7th March 17.15 GMT
Sun at 17˚ 31 ' Pisces
Moon at 17˚ 31 ' Pisces
I have just returned from a journey to the West Country and seeing
all the pink and white blossom amazed me. It gave me the feeling that
l was re-emerging from the under world, and made me marvel at Mother
Nature and how the life force continues. There seems to be more daffodils
and primroses this year, carpeting the Earth with a yellow gown. The
fields are full of newborn lambs and spring is truly on its way!
The bird’s chorus before sunrise is remarkable
and is becoming louder and louder with each day that passes. The
birds are very active at the moment collecting twigs and other materials
to make their nests. Although they also have time to play as they
chase each other around the garden. While l was in Somerset, l went
to see the starlings coming into settle for the evening. What an
amazing sight. There are so many of them. They come from all directions.
As they fly overhead, it’s incredible to hear the sound of their
wings. A sight well worth watching if you get the chance. It gave
me the feeling that l was experiencing something very divine.
Another bonus is the longer days. I was beginning to think that the
dark mornings would never end.
The Evening Sky
I had brief glimpses of the lunar eclipse. It was lovely to
see the full Moon coming out of the eclipse conjunct Saturn. A very
special sight indeed. Mars and Saturn are still to be seen in the evening
skies. Mars the red planet is moving away from the constellation of
Orion. The Pleiades and Orion are amongst my favorite group of stars
that we see at this time of year. Come May we will no longer see them
until they reappear in the autumn.
The Chart of the New Moon
The time of the new Moon is here again. How quickly they come
round. The Sun and Moon are conjunct Uranus in Pisces in the 7th house,
sextile Jupiter in Capricorn in the 5th. Pisces is very receptive to
the feelings of others and has a very caring and compassionate side.
Although Pisceans can find everyday reality harsh, preferring to live
in a dream world. Sometimes they forfeit their own dream to help some
one else fulfill theirs. The combination of this new Moon will have
an effect on one to one relationships. On one hand, people will want
to merge with each other, giving the feeling that anything’s possible,
maybe even the ideal marriage that one’s always dreamed of. Only to
find that the next minute it’s all off due to lack of freedom and the
fear of commitment. Or there might be a third party who is an unexpected
element that has come into the equation. The large emphasis in
Aquarius in the 6th, which is also ruled by Uranus, gives strength
to the unforeseen surprises that Uranus can bring.
The Virgo ascendant and Saturn in Virgo, say‘s
something completely different. This combination wants structure
and order. Everything needs to be in its correct place. Virgo’s are
the perfectionist of the zodiac and can often stop themselves from
doing things because of their exacting nature. Owing to the anxiety
that is created by having to get everything right, their health can
suffer. Due to this combination and the large 6th house emphasis,
there maybe lots of news about our food and the health of the nation,
which may highlight the damaging affects of consuming fast foods.
Also on the 7th March, Mars opposes Pluto for the last time at 9.12
am. This combination is very challenging and asks us to redirect our
energy. Things that have been on going since August 2007 will finally
come to a head and will be either completely transformed or there could
be the parting of the ways and the ending of chapters and the beginning
of new ones. We are being asked to be true to our selves.
I leave you with a quote, l don’t know where it comes from.
“Relationships have a way of rubbing our noses in the slime of life.
An experience we would rather forgo, but one that offers an important
exposure to our own depth.”
Blessings to you all.
Happy new Moon.
