New Moon
25th February 01.36 GMT
Sun at 6˚ 35' Pisces
Moon at 6˚ 35' Pisces
HNature is alive and expectant with life. The
colours of new growth are abundant. Snowdrops
and primroses cover the ground. The daffodils
are to be seen and soon their yellow flower
will be out. They are heralding the return
of the Sun. Bright golden catkins adorn the
hazel trees. The fields are full of lambs.
The days are becoming longer and the promise
of spring is around the corner.
The Night Sky.
The colours of the sunsets have been fantastic. The redness
of the rays coming off the sun and how far they reached into the sky
have been spectacular; like nothing l have ever seen before. I feel
that I was blessed to witness this show of nature. The Moon/Venus conjunction
was also amazing to see. These are the gifts of nature that come for
free. All the time I am reminded of what a beautiful planet we live
on.
The chart of the new Moon.
The time of the Pisces new Moon is upon us. In this chart
the Sun and Moon only make contact with each other. There is a big
emphasis of planets in Aquarius. The Saturn/Uranus opposition is still
very strong, with Venus being the only planet outside of its wall that’s
containing everything else behind it. Pluto is established in Capricorn.
8 planets, along with the Moon’s Node are contained within 42 degrees
of the Zodiac.
There is a strong message coming from the heavens. It’s
time for a change and change is never easy. The Aquarius line up is
giving us a chance to connect into collective thought. The power is
with the people. We only have to realize it. Energy follows thought.
The message going out on the Internet is that we are entering the Age
of Aquarius and it’s a time for people to join together in meditating
on world peace and love. Aquarius is a very visionary sign and so can
be detached from the reality of what is going on.
With the Sun and Moon coming together in the sign of Pisces, we will
more than likely become aware of the collective feeling. *The Moon
conjuncts Uranus a day after the new Moon, so watch out for the unexpected.
Pisces is a very sensitive and intuitive sign and is extremely aware
of the suffering of humanity. This is sometimes too hard to bear, so
they can also have the tendency to escapism.
Charles and Suzy Harvey write in Principles of Astrology, that “Pisces
grapples with the duality of human nature- its darkness and its light,
its transience and lasting beauty. Pisces contains many contradictions
and possibilities, which enable it to identify with the entire spectrum
of human experience; the saint, the sage, the siren and the sinner.”
I think the Saturn/Uranus opposition is also reflecting this. Uranus
in Pisces is asking us to have the courage to face our pain and Saturn
in Virgo is making us weary of all the hard work. What a contradiction!
Before the Full Moon, Venus goes retrograde on the 6th
March and stays going backwards until the 17th April. During its retrograde
period it comes back to square Pluto for most of the month of April.
I sense we will be seeing more issues around the money crisis.
It feels like it has been a long hard winter. Since the
last Moon report, England was brought to a standstill. I hadn’t seen
snow like this since l was a child and spent quite a few days being
snowed in. London had no buses running, 700 flights were cancelled
at Heathrow and hundreds of schools were closed throughout the country.
I ask myself what effect is this going to have on the financial situation?
The headlines in one paper read that the debt of the country is equal
to every man, woman and child owing the equivalent of £33,000 each.
Where is it all going to end? There has been a lot of talk about the
bank bosses being paid too much. Not to mention the bonuses people
have been receiving. I wonder how do the people really feel about what
is going on?
In the chart of the full Moon on the 11th March, the
Sun is conjunct Uranus whilst the Moon is together with Saturn. This
lunation highlights this major opposition of Saturn and Uranus. Two
days later the Sun becomes the next planet to break free of this barrier
that has been keeping everything contained within it since mid September
2008. Saturn has a resistance to change and in Virgo it likes everything
that has been tried and tested. Uranus is the liberator and asks us
to change in those areas where we have become too set in our ways.
So here’s to the future and what ever it may bring.
I leave you with a quote from Alive and well with Uranus by Bill Tierney.
“Whenever Uranus and Saturn form an aspect, we are challenged to pull
their diverse energies together to build new and improved life structures
for ourselves and for the world.”
Blessing of the new and full Moon to you all. Linda Day
