New Moon
24th May 13:12 BST
Sun at 3˚ 28' Gemini
Moon at 3˚ 28' Gemini
The countryside is so vibrant. The hedgerows are full
of colour; the May blossom is out; the apple orchards have been in
full bloom and the horse chestnut trees wear their beautiful candle-like
flowers of white or red. There are so many different shades of green.
The fields range from yellow to the beautiful red colored earth of
the ploughed land. The earth is alive and ever changing. I feel very
blessed to live out in the country. I see birds of prey every day and
have noticed how the buzzards choose certain places to sit. I feel
very honored to be able to see these things.
The Night Sky.
I haven’t really seen much lately in the night sky due
to cloud coverage. I did see the last new Moon and it always brings
me joy to see it's slither in the evening sky. If you find yourself
up before dawn, you have a good chance of seeing Venus and Mars. After
sunset, Saturn is still to be seen high in the sky.
The new Moon chart.
This is the Gemini new Moon and the Sun and Moon are
the most elevated planets in this chart. Gemini has a fascination with
the duality of life and can always see another’s point of view. This
sign is often likened to the pieces of a puzzle and excels at making
connections. Gemini rules communication and is very good with its use
of words. Being a mutable sign, it is very changeable and often contradicts
itself. Gemini likes to skim the surface and often gets bored really
easily.
In this chart the Sun and Moon are in a tight quincunx with Pluto.
This aspect is often referred to as a powerful aspect that demands
a conscious reconciliation. Something that I hadn’t foreseen, with
Pluto in Capricorn, is the corruption of the government being exposed.
The newspapers have been full of it. The first 9 pages of the Sunday
Telegraph on the 17th May were totally filled with it. The Sun and
Moon are Semi Square to Venus and the issues of how the MP’s have been
spending public money will be an ongoing theme. If people are allowed
to go on-line and find out who owns what, how much they have paid for
it and where they have got their mortgage from, then why shouldn’t
the people be able to know were the government is spending the peoples’
money?
I also feel this chart reflects the issues surrounding the Speaker
of the House of Commons.
Mercury the ruler of Gemini is still retrograde and will be until the
31st of May. Mercury is square the Chiron, Jupiter, Neptune conjunction
and I feel we will be hearing more about the swine flu. When Neptune
is involved, you can be sure that not all is as it seems.
Saturn is rising and conjunct the Virgo ascendant. Virgo sometimes
seeks perfection; this is also reflected by the Jupiter Neptune conjunction.
Saturn asks us to take our time and be responsible for ourselves.
Jupiter and Neptune will make their first exact conjunction on the
27th May, 3 days after the new Moon. Both Jupiter and Neptune have
quite a lot in common. They both can be quite idealistic and have grand
ideas. Both are faith oriented, warm hearted and seemingly wanting
the best for everyone. Jupiter is religious and Neptune is mystical.
So even through everyone is looking for an easy way out, be careful
of false promises.
In the full Moon chart of the 7th June, the Sun and Moon
are in a tight T-square with Saturn. This time it is Saturn that is
the most elevated planet. This placement of Saturn often reflects the
feeling of having to keep up some kind of position in society. Maybe
we will see a call from the public for the government to be responsible
for the actions they have taken. The full Moon in Sagittarius is concerned
with judgment, wisdom and morality. This Moon reflects the feeling
of the people.
Gemini has a very witty side to it. So instead of leaving
you with a quote .I want to share a joke someone told me. Question:
What’s the difference between someone doing benefit fraud and an M.P?
Answer: ABOUT THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND!
Blessing of the new moon to you all. Linda Day.
