I designed the lunar calendar because I was bored with having the same Moon calendar on my wall year after year and I wanted to show the circularity of the solar and lunar cycles as well as to make it more astrological. I have been interested in astrology for about 15 years and I run the astrology area at Glastonbury Festival every year with The Wheel of Astrologers. I am not a fully qualified astrologer but spend a lot of time working with astrologers and the language of astrology has seeped into my psyche as a result.

I finished an MA in Digital Media in 2004 and it was during the time I was supposed to be writing my final dissertation that the Moon calendar was completed. Creating a lunar phase calendar was a fine distraction to put off starting my dissertation!

I have been overwhelmed with how popular the Moon calendar has been and have had interest and praise for its design from all over the world from Brazil to Japan and Australia. It has been an extremely satisfying experience for me to have had such a good response for something which I have designed myself and in something which I believe in fully. I have also been lucky enough to have enlisted the support and endorsement of Jonathan Cainer which has helped immensly. The flip calendar which was expanded for 2008 has proved to be very popular.
