Astrocal are proud to have been asked by a self taught mathemetician to put his idea into practice with the Moon Phase Calculator. The phase of the Moon can be found EASILY by turning two dials. This is an A4 sheet with two circluar dials and full instructions on the reverse. Use the first dial to align the pointer to the equivalent year then the second to align the month. Once both dials are in place simply look at the date you want to find out the phase.Perfect for forward planning outdoor events or celebrations which are specific to the phase of the Moon - or to find the Moon phase you were born under!

How it works
The Moon Phase Calculator is easy to use and finding the lunar phase for any date is learned in a couple of minutes. The calculator is based on a calculation discovered by the ancient Greek astronomer Meton - his calculation is called the

METONIC CYCLE
