I stand tall with my feet on the Earth. My head, in the sky, is full of dreams and visions of the creations I will manifest in the future. My Pisces energy is ever-present on the Earth – but sometimes reality seems to be nebulous. I am aware of both reality and unreality – the seen and unseen – at the same time. Although they are physical beings, it is spirituality that binds humanity together. The sacred Hoop of Life is fractured and many people see themselves as only physical – but physicality and spirituality are one. I am here to remind them that the two are interwoven. Like a silver mist, spirituality pervades everything that humankind does. They love, they dream, they are inspired – and they create physical substance from their thoughts and inspiration. They manifest music, art, stories, philosophies, dance and dramas, reminding themselves that there are many levels of consciousness within life. Humans are physical beings with collective spiritual consciousness.

Pisces is a Mutable Water sign, feminine and ruled by Neptune. Like free flowing water that moulds itself to fit the terrain in which it exists, he dissolves obstacles or finds a way around them as he moves on his way. He is quiet lakes, bubbling rivers, raging seas, ice and misty vapour. He is inspiration, creativity, spirituality and empathy. He is the glue that joins and keeps us together, however different our views and lifestyles might be. Neptune (ruling Pisces) connects us to a higher frequency where spiritual practises of all kinds flow freely and where humanity manifests as a collective spirit of One Love.

As we enter the phase of the New Moon at the beginning of Pisces on 23rd February, we are ready to dream together – to weave a new pattern for the future. We are capable of opening ourselves to the higher levels of energy that radiates from the centre of the Galaxy itself and this is what we must do. The image is of a creative and spiritual man, stars in his eyes, looking upwards while walking steadily forwards on his journey. He is compassionate and empathetic to all living things. He meditates as he walks. He is conscious of his feet on the earth as he opens his consciousness to the music of the Universe.  This lunar month, he is on an important Vision Quest through which he seeks new spiritual truths.

Mercury, conjunct the New Moon, is retrograde until 10th March (9th for USA). With Neptune also in his own sign of Pisces, this further intensifies our motivation to explore our spiritual selves in depth. By the end of his intense questing process, we may have a concept of a new vision for the future. Later, we might even understand the direction and the practicalities needed to manifest it!

This is an important time to explore our spiritual selves so that we contribute to the imminent quantum leap forward towards inevitable major change. Neptune encourages us to trust in the process and to act with love and compassion. The New Moon occurs within astrologically intense Piscean energy. Here is a meditation to clarify intentions and dreams:

Meditation:
Somewhere quiet, close your eyes and find your way (using whatever methods help you to do so) to a place of stillness and peace. Take deep breaths to centre yourself. Enter your core centre and become aware of yourself as a source of light. Shine brightly, radiating your light outwards into the Universe and beyond. Become aware of other beings around the world, and those from other levels of existence, who radiate similar light. Increase the strength of your own light, expanding it so that it can join with the light of others and with the Universe and beyond. Become part of the one Light. Focus on the centre of the Universe and be aware that Love and Light permeate every level of existence, including your physical body. Allow Light to saturate your heart, mind, body and spirit. Trust in the process and reality of contacting divine knowledge and allow yourself to receive any impressions, visions and messages that may come to you. (Pause)

When ready, become aware of your own breath and bring your awareness back to Earth. Feel the ground beneath you and the sensations of your physical body. Return!

IN A MUNDANE KIND OF WAY
In contrast to the stellium of Sun, Moon, Neptune and Mercury in Pisces, Mars in Capricorn becomes a ‘wild card’ until 2nd March, travelling outside of his ‘normal’ boundaries and being intensely strong in energy. At the time of the New Moon he is conjunct the South Node and closely trine Uranus!  His energy is actively challenging ‘old ways’ of doing things and adds to the Pluto/Saturn conjunction in Capricorn – which is also conjunct impatient Jupiter! Drastic change WILL happen!

Uranus, at 3 degrees of Taurus (and close to the MC of the London chart at the NM) also reminds us of the fact that the ‘revolution’ has, in fact, already started! With ‘peacemaker’, Venus, having moved into Aries and therefore making things less calm all round, Mars potentially adds a dangerously angry ‘seasoning’ of sparky conflict. Trust in authority could dissolve (surprising to some but not others!) and delusions could be laid bare. Consequently, Mars might leave a trail of impulsive, decisive behaviour in his wake. The unexpected will happen. The contrasting Pisces stellium could feed a propensity for violence as confused people self righteously defend their beliefs and deluded people become aggressive.

The New Moon falls on the midpoint between Mars and Uranus firing more action, rebellion and new electronic inventions. These could have positive or negative repercussions. (N.B. the expansion of surveillance techniques.) Who will the new inventions and initiatives serve? Which sections of society are likely to benefit? It becomes even more important that those with emotional intelligence and empathy towards others tune in to a higher level of awareness to ensure that inventions reflect moral (as opposed to corrupt) visions for the future!

Things, globally, are not ‘good’ at the moment! We have even seen the concept of eugenics rear its ugly head. We are all aware of what is happening around us and there seems little point in repetition of facts. We all have our opinions and stand points. Despite this, we are entering a new stage and the visionaries of the Tribe of Humanity will use the energy of this New Moon to do their work!

Even though being surrounded by strong Neptunian energy can feel similar to being becalmed on a misty sea in a sailing boat, there’s little point in indulging in feelings of victimisation and fear. The situation may appear confusing and ugly shapes (many of which have little substance) might intimidate us from the mist! We can either panic (!) or exercise patience until the mist clears, dreaming our dreams and trusting in positive visions for the future for ourselves and others. There are infinite and exciting possibilities surrounding us.

The New Moon on 23rd February heralds a month in which to experience ‘time out’ – to meditate, journey and to open ourselves to visions inspiration. Here’s to Compassion, Creativity, Sympathy and Empathy! May the spiritual energy of Pisces fill our souls with Light!
