As single droplets of water within the sea of humanity, we focus on finding stillness at the centre of the tempest. The New Moon and Neptune are together in Pisces. We travel through the mists of the new lunar month, our sails full. We see visions in the lightning flashes. We search for our dreams. We trust our intuition to recognise what is real and unreal through the ether. We navigate our way through the sea, aware that a successful passage will fail unless we surrender and trust our instincts. We use our inspiration and the winds of change to sail towards a better future for the Earth.
Pisces is a water sign, feminine, mutable and ruled by Neptune, the planet of dreams, visions, creativity, mysticism, the collective consciousness and the concept of Universal Love. It is the twelfth sign of the zodiac and creates a rainbow bridge between the physicality of the Earth and the spirituality of the heavens. The image is of a god-like woman, so tall that, as she stands with one foot still on the Earth, one in the sea and her head reaching into the sky. She is nebulous, fluid and beautiful. She enables us to feel connected with ‘the divine’ and with all of humanity without boundaries. She stimulates our imaginations and offers visions of past, present and future so that we can weave new creations and scenarios from her inspirations. She is music, dance, art and escapism of all kinds. She inspires us towards higher cosmic vibrations. She cleanses and heals. As creatures of the Earth, we sometimes struggle to keep our own feet firmly on the ground in her presence but goodness knows we need dreams, aspirations and an injection of divine spirituality at the moment!
The astrological mix of this New Moon screams at us to complete one phase and begin the next. The twelfth sign, Pisces, is potent and relevant. She announces a New Beginning for us as individuals and as part of humanity. Conjunct Neptune in Pisces, the energy is intensified. Mercury in Pisces conjuncts Chiron at 59 minutes of Aries. The stellium describes the struggles surrounding us. The North Node in Cancer is square Uranus (on the critical degree of 0 degrees Taurus – and opposite Pluto/Saturn in Capricorn). Venus in Aquarius and Jupiter in Sagittarius stand like guardians on either side of Pluto/Saturn, softening the inevitability of the breaking apart of old structures. Mars (trine Saturn/Pluto and sextile the New Moon) is on the MC of the UK New Moon chart in Taurus. Added to all this, the Spring Equinox takes place on 20th March at 21.58 pm (GMT) as the Sun slips into Aries – and the Full Moon Libra occurs just four hours later. There’s no escaping the significance of this moment!
Piscean energy encourages us to tune in to our highest sensitivity. It pushes us upwards towards increased awareness of our higher selves and our soul’s journey. It is time to truly ‘dream our dreams and walk into them’. We have to trust that our visions will take root – without ‘over-thinking’ (Mercury is retrograde through Pisces!) Here’s an opportunity to shed excess baggage, change gear and make ready for a long haul towards a more positive future. Here’s the moment to ‘dream our dreams and walk into them’, to release ego energy and allow whatever issues that have emerged during the past year to be completed and a New Beginning to start. Intention – to become more aware of our existence on many levels of consciousness. Focus on a peaceful space deep within and feel the calmness and beauty as you connect with your innermost self at soul level. How does this feel? Imagine a golden spiral of light around you that stretches upwards into the universe. Allow your awareness to travel up through the spiral to connect with your higher self. How do you experience who and what you are on this level of consciousness? What do you see, hear, feel?
- What can I surrender that I no longer need? What needs to be cleansed and finally dissolved (habits, victim energy, relationships, routines)?
- What inspires me and encourages my confidence? Visualising a future where I am functioning at my highest level, what do I see?
- Where do I place my capacity for love, compassion and spiritual awareness within my life? How can I widen the reach of all three using my creativity and vision?
- Do my spiritual beliefs reflect and support the concept of Universal Love? Do I need to make changes in my present spiritual beliefs?
- What do I need specifically to visualise and create in the approaching month?
- How can I adjust my life in order that I become more in tune with my higher consciousness?
IN A MUNDANE KIND OF WAY
For once, we can be relieved that Mercury is retrograde from 5th to 28th March, allowing both world leaders and individuals the opportunity to ‘take stock’ of what they might have learned through recent events and to consider what can be done to create a better future. Some will no doubt continue to rant, rave and place more boulders in the way of progress but I have faith that this is the beginning of real change. The impetus to break free from old structures, the resistance against it and a lack of compassion and empathy has led to imbalance and intolerance all around us. With both Chiron and Uranus entering new signs at the time of the New Moon, I believe change will come.
There seems little point in naming characters or issues involved in the present political climate. We are all aware of who and what they are. We have been witness to the polarity of energy that swirls around us. It has sapped positive energy and created lethargy, frustration, anger, sadness and confusion. The strings are being pulled ever tighter between the planets and the stage is set for the finale. It may be a ‘trying’ month as the main political protagonists continue to rant, rail, grab, waste time and fight their corners. Corruption and deception might continue for a while yet – but inevitably structures will break. Something big this way comes!
We are at a place of increased awareness, consolidation and the potential dissolving and release of negativity. We have an opportunity to finally shed what we no longer need, to stand with awareness in the present and to dream for the future. We also have an opportunity to connect to higher consciousness and use the abundance of inspiring and creative energy to move on. The energy of the New Moon gives us reassurance that it is possible for Universal Love to ultimately prevail. This is a time of healing.
