Major Lunar Standstill 2025
Follow our Major Lunar Standstill Blog to understand the Moon’s 18.6 year cycle. We’ve completed a 4 part series which includes simple animations. All year, we’ll remind you to look out for the height of the Moon as she swings from extremely high to extremely low.
This extreme swing in the Moon’s height has a direct effect on the gravitational pull of the tides increasing them by 40cm. This extreme swing also has an effect on us. It is seen as a time of instability when we experience extreme emotional swings. Have you noticed this yourself?
We also invite you to join us on our journey up to Scotland in June 2025. We will be witnessing the lowest Full Moon for 18.6 years at the magnificent lunar observatory of Callanish in the Outer Hebrides (weather depending of course!). Check out our Major Lunar Standstill Blog.
